Soraya Sarah Nazarian Program in Fine Arts

In this new lecture series, curator and art historian Sagi Refael will address central topics in Israeli art history, since its emergence to date, exploring different perspectives, both traditional and thought-provoking, discussing representations of selected themes, including landscape, ethnic and gender identities, heroism, Holocaust and Otherness.

This seminar will outline groundbreaking ideas and visuals, encouraging a wider audience to learn about and engage with contemporary Israeli art.

Lunch can be purchased in our Berg dining room.

Sagi Refael is an Israeli art historian, curator, writer and advisor to collectors and artists, based in Los Angeles.

He is also the founder of IAILA, a private educational and commercial initiative representing contemporary Israeli artists in Southern California.
