Soraya Sarah Nazarian Program in the Fine Arts
In this beginner wood turning class, each student chooses from a variety of 6″ tree logs and places them on the lathe to turn or shape them. The lathe spins the log and the student uses an array of knives to carve this piece into an object that peaks the student’s imagination. No experience required and much experienced gained.
Paul Rovin is a master woodworker and Judaica artist. Paul’s fascination and curiosity for building began as a child, while watching his father, an engineer and inventor. He began his career building Broadway sets in the mid-seventies. Some of his credits include CATS, Dream Girls, and Saturday Night Live.
